Dear Governor Rolvaag:
I was pleased to hear Hubert Humphrey's tribute to you in his address through the GTA to the whole of Minnesota. I write this note particularly to congratulate you and to thank you for your appointment of Fritz Mondale to the office of Junior Senator from Minnesota. So far the boy has done well, and I do believe that he will justify the confidence you have placed in him. I remember meeting you for the first time at his wedding on the Macalester College campus.
